Negotiate a test
Use a project, shadow day, phased scope, consulting engagement, interview sprint, or 30-day trial to replace fantasy with contact.
Set the review in advance
Choose the measures and date before the test begins. Otherwise excitement or one difficult day will rewrite the standard.
