You can name one recent response and want to record what followed immediately and later without turning the sequence into a motive or diagnosis.
Evidence boundary
Sequence is not causation. One reported episode can generate a candidate pattern, but only comparable prospective observations can support or weaken recurrence.
Three distinctions to apply

Record what you noticed after avoiding, pleasing, controlling, withdrawing, or another first move.

Treat the timing as a customer-supplied observation, not as a hidden motive, protective function, or proven cause.
- 03
A useful counter-move creates a fair comparison with a different first response in a comparable low-risk situation.
Complete this sentence: “In the next ten minutes after this move, I observed…”
Write the answer before collecting another opinion. Keep it as a testable working note, not a verdict.
